ARI Gold-Star Schools
Establish 20 Gold-Star schools, selected competitively
Each school receives $100,000 a year
- to hire an extra reading specialist and/or assistant principal and supplement their program
In return, gold-star schools are training sites for ARI principals and reading specialists
- Principals in all ARI schools required to visit 2-3 gold star schools
- Principals need to know what is possible and develop a peer-support network
