Basis of the Evaluation
The evaluation of the ARI is based on :
- An exhaustive statistical analysis of five years of reading scores for half a million Alabama students
- Almost 4 weeks of site visits, including 5-hour visits to 15 schools, from Prichard to Arab
- After-school focus groups with ARI teachers. All told, over 350 teachers from 45 schools were interviewed
